What is Benfotiamine ?

Benfotiamine is a fat-soluble derivative of thiamine (vitamin B1) that can be converted into physiologically active vitamin B1 after entering the human body. Compared with the water-soluble vitamin B1, the biological activity of benfotiamine is higher, and the bioavailability is about 3.6 times. The relative bioavailability increase in muscle tissue (about 5 times) and cranial nerves (about 25 times) is more significant, and its plasma half-life is also longer.
