Product Description
Calcium pantothenate is one of the B vitamins and one of the nutrients necessary for the normal growth of organisms. Calcium pantothenate exists in three forms due to its chiral carbon atoms: DL-body (mixed body), D-body (dextrorotary body) and L-body (levorotatory body). Only D-calcium pantothenate has biological activity. Appearance is white or slightly yellow needle-like crystal or powder, melting point 195~196ºC (decomposition), soluble in water,  glycerin, slightly soluble in  hygroscopic, slightly sweet, but slightly bitter . In terms of chemical stability, it is the most stable in an aqueous solution with a pH value of 5-7. It is more stable in air and sunlight, but has poor stability in acids and alkalis.
Application 

This product is a vitamin drug and is a component of Coenzyme A. Among the calcium mixed pantothenate, only the dextrorotatory body has vitamin activity and participates in the metabolism of protein, fat, and sugar in the body. Used for vitamin B deficiency and peripheral neuritis, as well as colic after surgery. Combination with vitamin C can treat disseminated lupus erythematosus. The lack of calcium pantothenate in the human body has the following symptoms:
(1) Growth stops, weight loss, and sudden death.
(2) Skin and hair disorders.
(3) Nervous system disorders.
(4) Abnormal digestive organs and liver dysfunction.
(5) Affect the formation of antibodies.
(6) Accessory kidney disorders. The human body needs about 5mg of calcium pantothenate (calculated as pantothenic acid) every day. Calcium pantothenate is used as a nutritional supplement for food processing. Except for special nutritional foods, the usage amount must be less than 1% (calculated as calcium) (Japan). When milk powder is fortified, it is 10mg/100g. Adding 0.02% to shochu and whiskey can enhance the flavor. Adding 0.02% to honey can prevent crystallization in winter. Can buffer the bitter taste  saccharin.
