Application

Caprylyl glycine is the main component of dermal structural proteins, and it plays an extremely important role in the skin, one of which is to balance the pH value. The pH of the skin is around 5.5 because it contains various weak acids, proteins and fats. When different components react with the skin's lipoproteins, these proteins undergo a decarboxylation reaction that alters skin pH. Too high or too low pH is not good, especially for acne-prone skin. Numerous studies have concluded that acne-prone skin has a high pH. The presence of octanoylglycine provides free carboxyl groups that maintain the pH balance of the skin.
