 Product Description

Ferrous fumarate, also known as iron fumarate, is a safe and efficient organic nutrient iron supplement. It belongs to organic acid iron (including: iron lysine, iron glycinate, iron methionine, etc.), and its organic divalent iron content As high as 30%, the ferrous fumarate is easier to decompose after being absorbed. It does not require additional energy to enter the red blood cells, does not stimulate the stomach, and can increase and maintain the normal level of heme. It can be used as a nutritional supplement for a long time. It is clinically used to treat iron deficiency anemia. Ferrous fumarate is absorbed in the duodenum and upper jejunum in the form of ferrous ions in animals. Most of the absorbed iron is involved in the synthesis of hemoglobin in the bone marrow. The remaining part is stored in the reticuloendothelial cells of the bone marrow, liver and spleen in the form of ferritin and hemosiderin, and another part is present in the intestinal mucosal cells. This absorption method is different from inorganic iron supplements (ferrous sulfate, ferrous carbonate, iron oxide, etc.). It can alleviate the competitive antagonism in the absorption of trace elements without destroying vitamins or catalyzing oxidation reactions. It has good compatibility with various nutrients and can smoothly pass through the body's absorption barrier, which not only greatly improves the absorption and utilization rate of iron, but also increases the absorption rate of other elements. Iron is mainly excreted through the intestines and skin, and a small amount is also excreted in urine and sweat glands. Most iron can be reused when it is released after the hemoglobin molecules are destroyed.

Application 

As a food iron fortifier, ferrous fumarate has a better absorption effect than inorganic iron. my country stipulates that it can be used for table salt and filling sugar, and the usage amount is 1800-1600mg/kg; in high-iron grains and their products (the daily limit is 50g for this type of food), it is 520-580mg/kg; in dairy products and infant foods 180-300mg/kg; in cereals and their products, 70-150mg/kg; in beverages, 30-60mg/kg.
