Retinal CAS NO. 116-31-4, also known as retinol, is the closest component to A acid and is composed of β- Carotenoids are produced by oxidation and cleavage. Reduced to retinol, oxidized to retinoic acid. Retinal CAS NO. 116-31-4 is a coenzyme of rhodopsin. Within visual cells, 11 cis retinol and retinoin form pigments. After absorbing light, 11 cis retinol isomerizes into all trans retinol, causing a change in the conformation of rhodopsin and initiating neural pulses to the brain, thus forming vision.
