Calcium pantothenate is one of the B vitamins and one of the essential nutrients for the normal growth of organisms. Calcium pantothenate exists in three forms due to its chiral carbon atoms: DL-body (hybrid), D-body (dextro-body) and L-body (left-handed body). Only D-pantothenate calcium has biological activity, Appearance is white or yellowish needle crystal or powder, melting point is 195~196ºC (decomposition), soluble in water, glycerol, slightly soluble in  hygroscopic, slightly sweet, but slightly bitter . In terms of chemical stability, it is the most stable in an aqueous solution with a pH value of 5 to 7, relatively stable in air and sunlight, and less stable in acid and alkali.
