Hydroxocobalamin is a natural form of vitamin B12, or one of the vitamin B12 groups.
It is a basic member of the cobalamin family of compounds.
Hydroxocobalamin is an intermediate in the synthesis of nitrocobalamin, a useful synthetic intermediate in the
synthesis of cobalamin acetate; a physiological analog of vitamin B12.
