Product Description
Furanthiamine is a vitamin medicine. Like vitamin B1, active thiamine combines with pyrophosphate in the body to form a cocarboxylase, which participates in the oxidative decarboxylation reaction of pyruvate and α-ketoglutarate in sugar metabolism, which is necessary for sugar metabolism. When it is lacking, oxidation is hindered to form pyruvate, lactic acid accumulates, and affects the body's energy supply. The symptoms are mainly manifested in the nervous and cardiovascular system. Multiple peripheral neuritis in which both sensory and motor nerves are affected occurs. It is manifested as paresthesia, neuralgia, weakness of the limbs, and symptoms such as muscle aches and atrophy. In cardiovascular aspect, due to the increase and lactic acid in the blood, the small arteries expand, the diastolic blood pressure decreases, and the myocardial metabolism is imbalanced. Therefore, it is prone to symptoms of cardiac insufficiency such as palpitations, rapidness, chest tightness, cardiac hypertrophy, liver and lung congestion and peripheral edema. The digestive tract is manifested as decreased appetite, leading to weakness and weight loss.
Application
Furothiamine is a derivative of vitamin B1, also known as long-acting vitamin B1. It is suitable for the treatment of beriberi or Wernicke encephalopathy due to vitamin B1 deficiency, and can also be used for auxiliary treatment of peripheral neuritis and indigestion caused by vitamin B1 deficiency.
